The Hope Saddle first appeared in Texas around 1840. This saddle is a handmade exact copy starting with a rawhide covered wooden saddle tree. The bars have been modified to fit the larger horses of today. This saddle style went west with mountain men, prospectors and homesteaders. Each piece of leather has been cut and tooled by hand by Dave Doran (phone: 613-721-6338). For more information, you can call Dave or Ron Hamilton at 931-528-6061.
